The Clarkson Construction Company Safety and Health Program is based on the premise that every employee is entitled to a safe and healthful workplace.
It is the policy of Clarkson Construction Company to strive for “excellence in safety” on every project it undertakes and to fully comply with all federal, state and local regulations. Preventing accidents and injuries in the workplace is good business practice and improves the overall profitability of the company.
All Clarkson employees are invited and encouraged to offer suggestions that improve the safety program. Accidents and injuries on the job do not happen; they are caused. Giving safety top priority in all endeavors reduces the frequency and severity of accidents.
To help in striving for a goal of zero accident, Clarkson entered into the Build Safe Partnership Program with OSHA in 2003. There are many benefits to this partnership. One such benefit is being removed from OSHA’s program inspection list for 12 months after successful conclusion of an OSHA verification inspection. The idea behind the Build Safe Partnership is to allow OSHA to focus its attention on companies that do not put the same amount of focus on safety that Clarkson does.
Clarkson is currently one of twenty four partners in this prestigious program.
Clarkson makes safety its top priority, and the company’s track record is proving it. Clarkson has made a large investment in the safety program and has taken a proactive approach to avoid accidents. The staff and equipment are in place to ensure a safe working environment because preventing accidents is better than reacting to them.
